Does anyone here on Oppo have experience with these? How do you dry it out?

I'm embarrassed to say mine is still not dry from 2 years ago. Maybe use a paper towel? Hand and paper towel reaches in the hole of the bag and drys it?

I've been hanging it up. It seems to dry out eventually, but there must be a better way!

from what I've heard they have a coating inside to prevent growth. I just keep mine in a cool spot when not in use and but a new 1 each spring

Honestly I am not sure yours isn't dry. Do you live in a humid climate? I live in an arid climate and all I have to do is keep it open for a day or two and it's good.

It does dry out after a couple of days. The tube never gets dry though.

Take the lid off, hang it upside down with something keeping the membrane spaced apart so there is air in the bag.

Turn it inside-out and hang it up to dry. Or as suggested earlier, hair drier set on low.

Ah I see. I basically drain the main compartment, then use gravity by opening the end of the tube you suck on and letting the water drain out into the bladder, for me that's usually enough to have whatever residual water inside the tube dry out.

when I owned one, it came with a little thing that latched onto the opening and went down into the bag to hold it open and dry out better. I'd also hang it near the clothes drier for the added heat.

I always use a cloth and wooden spoon to get down in the corners. Then I put folded up paper plates down in there to keep it open and a folded up paper towel at the bottom to absorb water and hang it up. After two days I wipe it out again and put in new paper plates to keep it open and aired out during storage.

steps to getting your camelbak dry:
1) fill with sand
2) admire the lack of water
3) spit out sandy water for the next decade

I use a plastic coated metal hanger that has been bent into a wedge, basically fold the hanger in half. then unplug the hose and hang it to dry from the hanger hook. the hanger is inserted through the fill hole and forces the bladder to expand so it can air dry nicely.

I open the cap and hang it upside down. I think they give you a thing to hold the bag open in the fancy cleaning kit. I don't have the kit....
